Precision Medicine Projects

Precision Medicine is a promising framework for care that takes the genetic information of patients and tumours into account to provide the right treatment at the right time for the right patient. At the Terry Fox Research Institute, we are creating the Team Canada of Cancer Research by bringing together the best researchers from the country's top cancer institutions to work on projects that accelerate the implementation of precision medicine in Canada, helping to make this promising framework a reality.

Network Pilot Projects

The TFRI is investing in pilot projects that bring together researchers from partner organizations to harmonize their research methods and create the platforms, infrastructure and governance structures that will help accelerate the implementation of precision medicine in Canada.

Precision Medicine Portfolio

While the TFRI continues to develop its vision for the implementation of precision medicine in Canada, it continues to fund research teams that are applying the main precepts of this promising framework for care in their work.
