Dr. Isabel Serrano holds a PhD in pharmacy, human physiology, from the University of Alcalá, Spain. She has extensive experience in cancer research working as a postdoctoral fellow at the BC Cancer Research Centre and the Genome Sciences Centre in Vancouver in the molecular biology and cancer cell signaling field. Following her passion for management and co-ordination of research teams, she moved from the bench closer to the bedside to work as a project manager in radiation oncology clinical trials at BC Cancer. In 2021, she joined TFRI as the project manager for the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network and in 2024, she was appointed as the Managing Director for the program.
