Terry Fox-funded researchers across Canada donned purple shirts for the 43rd annual Terry Fox Run in September and raised more than $156,000 for cancer research. This is the second-highest funding result of the friendly Terry Fox Run Challenge, where researchers join forces to see which team can raise the most money for cancer research.
"Year after year, we are in awe of the incredible support from cancer researchers,” says Jim Woodgett, TFRI President and Scientific Director. “Seeing the countless purple shirts on Run Day reaffirms our commitment to realizing Terry's vision of ending cancer through research, and we’re extremely grateful to our funded scientists and their families and friends for their contributions to both research and fundraising."
