TFRI launches 2021 Terry Fox Run Challenge

The Terry Fox Research Institute (TFRI) is happy to launch its 2021 Terry Fox Run Challenge, an annual event in which our research teams look to claim top honours by raising the most funds for cancer research.

Last year, 28 teams participated in the challenge, raising over $98,000 for cancer research. For the third year in a row, the Vancouver Prostate Centre team won the challenge, raising over $17,845 for cancer research. An (extremely!) close second place went to the Canadian Oncolytic Virus Consortium (COVCo) team. Third place went to the TFRI HQ team.

We hope the 2021 Terry Fox Run Challenge will repeat or exceed the tremendous results from last year!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Terry Fox Run will be held virtually. Like last year, a special theme -- One Day, Your Way! -- encourages participants to be creative with their run. Take a stroll around your neighbourhood, backyard, down the street or around the block, and consider taking lots of pictures and videos to show your support to cancer research.
