Special Session
TFRI is looking forward to participating at this year’s Canadian Cancer Research Conference (CCRC) in Ottawa this year. On Monday, November 4 we will host a special 30-minute presentation on the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network. We hope you will join us to learn more about this exciting new initiative, which is aimed at accelerating precision medicine for Canadians. Support for the network was announced by the Government of Canada in Budget 2019 with a $150-million investment, to be matched by participating centres and foundations. Learn how you can contribute to, and benefit from, this most valuable Canadian resource.
Early Morning Run/Walk & Breakfast
Rising early at conferences for an early morning run/walk in honour of Terry Fox’s legacy, is a tradition within our funded research community. Led by Darrell Fox and Dr. Victor Ling, this year’s run/walk will get under way at 6:30 am. The route begins at the Shaw Centre and will go along the Rideau Canal and back (5km run and 1 km walk – out and back). Remember to bring your running shoes and proper clothing for this event. We will run rain or snow!
And we hope everyone will join us for Breakfast at 7:30 am before heading to our MOHCC special session.
Run details will be included in the tote bags participants receive at the conference.
